Loyalty and What it Means
by Step Jones

Who are you loyal to, and what does loyalty mean?

Are you loyal, and what does that mean to you?

If you found another job, would you jump ship right away and leave the company you are with? If you found another mate that you were attracted to, would you leave the relationship you are in? Are you planning to leave someone that has been good to you because you no longer have any use for them, even though they could use you?

Is there any loyalty in today’s world, or is it every man for themselves?

Many of us toughen up after someone shows no loyalty anymore, and know that the way of the world is tough and people need to take care of themselves.

Some people actually plot their move and leave whoever is helping them behind when they become no longer useful to them.

Of course loyalty is a two way street- one person cannot be loyal without the other one being loyal.

Can you have a mastermind without loyalty?

A mastermind is a group of people that support each other.

Can you support someone without being loyal to them?

Once you have a coach, the next step to creating success is having a mastermind. Most great people have others around them that they can trust and rely on. One of the things a good coach will do is help you develop a group of people whose purpose is to help everyone become better at what they do.

If you can help enough other people get what they want, you can have what you want.

Of course, one of the primary characteristics would be loyalty and trust of each other.

Tookie Williams and the Crips
by Step Jones

Tookie Williams co-founded a group in Los Angeles called the Crips, a gang that is very dangerous and has killed thousands of people.

Tookie was convicted of murdering Albert Owens at a 7/11 store for $122. Tookie was also convicted of killing Robert Yang and his father, mother and sister for $600 in the late 70’s. Tookie has been on death row since then, and he is to be given the death penalty on December 13th, 2005.

Crips are so violent that their initiation into the gang is to commit a crime, such as murder, in front of other members. Females can choose this rite of initiation or they can be “sexed in,” which means they get “gang-banged” by several members.

I have a rule - if I would not do something, I will not ask someone else to do it. I do not want to kill Tookie or anyone else, so if I won’t do it I wouldn’t ask anyone else to end Tookie’s life. Although I believe one could make a good case for Tookie not being a citizen of the world.

Snoop-Dog was rallying for the Took this weekend. I was not.

The Weekly Challenge

A friend of mine said the American people have no money and are in debt up to their ever-loving eyeballs. Debt can be good or bad if you are investing in business, and assets debt can be good - you can’t do business with out it. But personal debt is bad. Do you really need everything that you buy, and if you could save some money and not have debt how much farther along would you be? Get some help if you need it, but start reducing your personal debt.

The Quote of the Week

The Sales Tip of the Week

Questions are the key to successful selling. There are many different types of questions, open and closed. Questions that demand an answer are open, and those that can be answered by a “yes” or “no” are closed. They both have their uses in the right place. Fact-finding questions uncover the facts you need to qualify your client, and feeling-finding questions uncover the emotions to the sale, if any. Reflective questioning helps you understand what the client is saying. Reflective questions use the last part of the statement that the client uses for clarification. For clarification? More on questions later, but start a list of the questions that you would use and practice them.
