Step Jones to be Installed as Beverly Hills Chamber President

The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce will install Step Jones as their new president the night of the Excellence in Business Awards, June 8th.
Jones came to Beverly Hills in December of 1997 to operate Beverly Hills BMW and is active in numerous charities including: the Blind Children's Center, The Maple Counseling Center, The Drive for Literacy, The Susan G. Komen Drive for Breast Cancer, Big Brothers (was one), and The Children's Hospital.
Step has won Delta Trends, Excellence in Employee Satisfaction, BMW's highest award, Center of Excellence (two years), and was extremely honored to win the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, Executive of the Year Award. Step is also president-elect of the Beverly Hills Chamber. Step has also won many other awards from BMW of North America and Sonic Automotive (Beverly Hills BMW parent company) for performance and customer satisfaction.
Sonic Automotive appointed Step regional vice-president in Los Angeles for 18 months, while serving as General Manager of Beverly Hills BMW. Step is also the moderator and chairman of Sonic's BMW Dealer "20" group.
He is a member of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Council, the Beverly Hills Rotary and BMW of North America's Market Advisory Committee.
Step has served on the Greater Los Angeles New Car Dealers Association (served as treasurer), BMW's Southern California Dealer Advertising Association, The Maple Counseling Center, Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Blind Children's center.
He graduated from the University of California in San Diego in 1976 in philosophy, is married to Marina and they have a son, Chance.
The Excellence Awards are presented to companies that have demonstrated innovative business practices, outstanding customer service, a commitment to the community of Beverly Hills, as well as significant achievement conducted by a business with fewer than fifty employees.
The evening will also include a Business Expo where corporate sponsors and local businesses display their products and services during a cocktail hour that will precede the dinner program.
Beverly Hills businesses that will be honored are: The William Morris agency receiving the Community Service Award; Thibiant Beverly Hills Day Spa, the Customer Service Award; Martin Katz, Ltd., Innovative Practices Award and Lee Gelfond Chocolate, Inc., the Small Business Award.
An Evening of Business Excellence will present a keynote address by Monster.com President Steve Pogorzelski, who heads up one of the largest and most successful online employment companies the web has ever seen.
The event will be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
